Handy Guys Manchester Evening News

Manchester Evening News - Cup Boost for Handy Guys

A handyman company set up by a former AstraZeneca executive after he was made redundant is celebrating its first year in business by recruiting staff and expanding its services.

The Handy Guys says its multi-skilled handymen will take on almost any job for its domestic and commercial clients, from fixing leaking taps to building garden sheds.

It has seen a boost from the World Cup with customers seeking help to install flat-screen TV sets, and has won business from Trafford Council, Kids Unlimited, Warner Brothers and a number of letting agencies.

The enterprise was set up by John Morgan to cover south Manchester and has begun responding to calls from the city centre.

It now has six handymen, plus an office team.

The firm has just recruited an electrician and is seeking a qualified gas engineer.
